CAVOODLE COMPANIONS BRISBANE

Our Commitment to Ethical Dog Breeding
The care and wellbeing of our cavoodle / cavapoo puppies and dogs is so important to us. Their earliest days are as part of loving family on half acre of land. Here are a number of our commitments. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
1. Compliance with Legal Requirements
-
Registration: We are registered with the Queensland Dog Breeder Register BIN0010093741586.
-
Microchipping: All our puppies are microchipped.
-
Animal Welfare Laws: We adhere to the Queensland Animal Care and Protection Act 2001, and adhere to the QLD Dog Breeders Guidelines and local council regulations.
2. Health and Genetics
-
Health Testing: The parents are DNA tested with Orivet and copies of the reports are available. There is no DNA at risk or affected puppies.
-
Vaccination and Veterinary Care: All the puppies are vet checked, wormed and vaccinated and provide complete veterinary and health records for each puppy.
-
Health Guarantee: We cover the expenses for the treatment of genetic and/or health problems which can be tested for, which are present from birth, or which arise in the first 12 months of the dogs’’ life,or from 12 months from point of sale, up to the price of the animal.
3. Proper Housing and Environment
-
Facilities: We raise our puppies on a half an acre property and provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment with adequate space, ventilation, and hygiene. After 6 weeks they spend lots of time outside.
-
Exercise and Enrichment: Our dogs receive regular exercise, mental stimulation, and social interaction with children.
4. Responsible Breeding Practices
-
Breed Standards: We breed dogs in line with recognized breed standards, avoiding traits that may compromise health or well-being.
-
Breeding: Our breeding dogs are part of our family and we do not breed dogs too young or too old, and avoid overbreeding (e.g., limit the number of litters per female).
5. Ethical Puppy Rearing
-
Early Socialization: We expose puppies to various stimuli (people, children, sounds, environments) to support proper social development.
-
Weaning: We do not separate puppies from their mother or littermates before they are ready.
-
Feeding: We provide high-quality nutrition for puppies and breeding dogs.
6. Buyers Information
-
Lifetime Support: We offer ongoing support and advice to buyers and are willing to take back the dogs if necessary.
-
Suitability: Ethical breeding requires that we assess potential new homes, will ask you simple questions around your suitability and will advise you on preparing your home for the safety of the puppy.
